THE COLLECTED DESIGN WORK OF MICHAEL SCHEEL
Fig. A: Bambi, Michael
I guess I could forage for fish and berries behind my apartment...
Thankfully, I’ve survived 33 years and counting from making art for a living, so it hasn’t come to scavenging yet. As a Graphic Designer, my job to bring your idea to life. It doesn’t matter if we’re making a t-shirt or, logo, bumper sticker or billboard. The goal is the same, to grab the attention of your audience, and effectively communicate your message.
As the Lead Designer at Print This in Zorn, Texas. Since 2009, I've been lucky to work directly with a variety of awesome people in an extremely supportive community in the Central Texas area. The shop focuses primarily on screen printing, but I’m
I’m also the Creative Director of the Austin based Exploded Drawing collective. For the last decade, we have curated a series of events focused on original music production, showcasing Texas musicians along with nationally recognized artists. Through this project, I’ve been blessed to meet some of the most creative people on the planet, and work with many of my creative heroes.
When I’m not pushing pixels, I enjoy staying up until 4:00 am playing video games, leading my beloved houndbeast Bambi (Fig. A, left) small pieces of ham, and performing improv comedy with my crew HarshMellow. Also, I’ve started to experiment with a few synths and samplers, and at some point I will have something to show from it. You’ll be the first to know, I promise.
If you'd like to collaborate, or just want to say hello, drop me a line!
Otherwise, I’ll be forced to sharpen a stick and set off into the woods.
Cheers,
Michael
